Tonight we’re starting up our leadership training summer session.
The goal is to create gospel-centered, mission-focused leaders and communities who create gospel-centered, mission-focused leaders and communities.
Here is a little intro to our first session tonight:
Gospel-centered– living, seeing, and speaking the good news of Jesus in every area and aspect of life.
“If there’s anything in life that we should be passionate about, it’s the gospel. And I don’t mean passionate only about sharing with others. I mean passionate about thinking about it, dwelling on it, rejoicing in it, allowing it to color the way we look at the world. Only one thing can be of first importance to each of us. And only the gospel ought to be.”
Mission-focused– living knowing that God has placed us as missionaries where we are according to His divine purpose.
“I often read magazines intended for teenage girls, not because I need to take tests to discover if I am compatible with my boyfriend or because I need leg-waxing tips, but because I want to see young women meet Jesus, and do I want to understand them better.”
